We as parents know that digital literacy has become an essential tool for navigating the present and the future. In our special courses, our dedicated trainers will help your kids become self-confident and conscious users of digital tools and online platforms including the basics of programming. All this, in a playful, fun, and easily understandable way.

Improve your kids’ digital skills!

Like most kids, your child will also grow up with a smart phone or tablet in hand, either in the home environment or outside of it. Equip your kids with the tools and critical thinking skills that can help them navigate an increasingly digitized future. This course will cover the basics of algorithmic thinking and programming, digital content creation, as well as internet use and safety. It will also introduce kids to computer hardware, digital devices, and robotics. With us, your kids can enjoy the path to digital literacy, learning essential skills in a playful manner!

Highlights

The course will center around the following themes:

Algorithmic thinking

Programming: from block-based coding and calculation through easy-to-understand visual platforms, all the way to text-based coding

Digital content creation: 3D game design, digital drawing, image and video editing, text and presentation editing

Internet use and safety: online security, netiquette and online communication

The basic use of computer hardware and digital devices

Robotics

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this course.

Necessary software

  • For our in-Logiscool course: A Google account is necessary for participation. We provide all the necessary tools for the course.
  • In case, the school opens online courses: To participate in the online course, each student will need a laptop or a computer at home with a solid internet connection, a built-in or external microphone, a Google account and a mouse. We recommend having a headset and a web camera as well. The software needed for online communication is provided by us.

Enrollment

We welcome curious students to our new ONLINE courses starting in FEBRUARY!


  • 2TH - 3TH GRADE -> DIGITAL DISCOVERY - DIGITAL DISCOVERY GROUPS WITH PROGRAMMING
  • 4TH-8TH GRADE -> PROGRAMMING COURSES 
  • 9TH+. GRADE -> INTENSIVE PROGRAMMING COURSES 
  • 7TH GRADE AND UP -> ADVANCED PROGRAMMING COURSES - PYTHON 


Enrolment for advanced courses is conditional on successful completion of a level test. The level test will be sent after registration.

PRICES, DISCOUNTS AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

The course fee

The half-yearly fee is 97.900Ft, which includes 17 sessions (17x90 min) and a 5% discount (February 2024 - June 2024). 

The course fee can be paid in equal monthly instalments. This fee is 22.900 Ft / month (February 2024 - June 2024 - we will issue an invoice in May about 1,5 month). 

The amount of the monthly instalments is the same regardless of the number of hours per month. The course fee also provides free unlimited access to the unique my.logiscool.com digital competence development portal and 3 free make-ups per semester.


Discounts

  • Group discount: 5% - for a minimum of 4 new students enrolling together for the first time. The discount applies to the first academic year of the Logiscool course.
  • Sibling discount: 5% - both siblings register for the same academic year at our school. The discount is valid as long as both siblings are enrolled at our school.


The maximum combined discount is 10%


Payment terms and conditions

In all cases, an e-invoice will be sent to the parent's email address for the course fee, payable by bank transfer by the first Logiscool lesson of the month.

DATES AND APPLICATION

Our courses start the week of 5 February 2024 and run until 15 June 2024. You can join the courses until 26 February, we will make up the first classes.

The semester includes 17 Logiscool sessions. ONLINE classes are 90 minutes (2x45 minutes) once a week. On weekdays from 15:30 and 17:00 and on Saturdays from 9:30.

In case of absence, we offer three free substitutions per semester at times agreed in advance with the school manager.

In the registration interface, you can also tick alternative dates in addition to the preferred date. Please tick all suitable dates in the drop-down menu. If none of the available dates are suitable, please contact the school head or select a date (any date) and provide us with further information in the NOTE field so that we can find a solution. The comment box is at the end of the registration form.

An email will be sent to all parents the week before the start of the course with all the important information about the start of the course!
