We as parents know that digital literacy has become an essential tool for navigating the present and the future. In our special courses, our dedicated trainers will help your kids become self-confident and conscious users of digital tools and online platforms including the basics of programming. All this, in a playful, fun, and easily understandable way.

Improve your kids’ digital skills!

Like most kids, your child will also grow up with a smart phone or tablet in hand, either in the home environment or outside of it. Equip your kids with the tools and critical thinking skills that can help them navigate an increasingly digitized future. This course will cover the basics of algorithmic thinking and programming, digital content creation, as well as internet use and safety. It will also introduce kids to computer hardware, digital devices, and robotics. With us, your kids can enjoy the path to digital literacy, learning essential skills in a playful manner!

Highlights

The course will center around the following themes:

Algorithmic thinking

Programming: from block-based coding and calculation through easy-to-understand visual platforms, all the way to text-based coding

Digital content creation: 3D game design, digital drawing, image and video editing, text and presentation editing

Internet use and safety: online security, netiquette and online communication

The basic use of computer hardware and digital devices

Robotics

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this course.

Necessary software

  • For our in-Logiscool course: A Google account is necessary for participation. We provide all the necessary tools for the course.
  • In case, the school opens online courses: To participate in the online course, each student will need a laptop or a computer at home with a solid internet connection, a built-in or external microphone, a Google account and a mouse. We recommend having a headset and a web camera as well. The software needed for online communication is provided by us.

PRICES, DISCOUNTS AND PAYMENT TERMS

Course fee

The semester fee at our school is HUF 102,173 with loyalty, which includes 17 sessions (17x90 minutes) and a 5% lump sum payment discount (Feb. 2024 - June 2024).

The course fee can be paid in equal monthly installments. This fee in our central school is HUF 23,900/month (until June 2024). The fee for the fractional month in June is invoiced at the beginning of May, so we no longer issue invoices in June. The amount of the monthly installments is the same in the other months, regardless of the number of hours in that month.

Discounts

Sibling discount: 5% - in case of registration of several siblings to our school for the same academic year. The discount can be applied as long as both siblings study at our school.

Lump-sum payment for the entire semester, with a pledge of loyalty: 5%, in the case of a lump-sum payment of the semester tuition.

Payment Terms

In all cases, we issue an e-invoice to the name of the student for the course fee, which we ask you to pay by bank transfer by the first Logiscool class of the given month.

DATES AND APPLICATION

Our courses start the week of February 5, 2024 and last until June 16, 2024.

The academic year includes 17 Logiscool hours. Our classes are once a week for 90 minutes (2x45 minutes). In our school, we start groups every weekday from 17:10 and on Saturdays from 10:40.

In case of absence, we provide three free replacements in one semester at times after prior consultation with the head of the school.

In addition to specifying the preferred time on the registration interface, it is also possible to select alternative times. Please mark all suitable times in the drop-down menu! If none of the available dates are suitable, please contact the head of school or select (any) date and provide us with additional information in the COMMENT field so that we can find a solution. The Comment field is located at the end of the registration form.

We send a letter to all parents the week before the start of the course, which contains all important information about the start of the course!
