Arrivé dans les salles de cinéma au printemps 2025, le film Minecraft est un film d'aventure familial américano-suédois mettant en scène Jason Momoa et Jack Black. Il capture l'esprit du jeu légendaire et extrêmement populaire, même si, contrairement aux attentes, le film Minecraft n'est pas un film d'animation mais un film d'action.

Un passionné de jeux vidéo des années 80 (Jason Momoa), un gérant de zoo mobile pour enfants et une jeune femme avec son petit frère tombent à travers un portail mystérieux dans un monde passionnant et inhabituel fait de blocs. Pour rentrer chez eux, ils doivent trouver la solution, avec l'aide de Steve, un maître constructeur chevronné (joué par Jack Black) vivant dans le monde des blocs.
