In this intensive, one-week holiday camp, kids can learn the basics of programming. They will find out what a variable is and how algorithms work while developing their own, cool games!

Highlights

Kids will learn the basics of programming incrementally. Our self-developed educational platform mixes colorful digital blocks, games, and programming commands along with written code, depending on your child’s age and knowledge level

Kids will develop cool games based on their own ideas, fostering creativity and individual thinking.

During the camp, kids will work on increasingly complex projects that build on each other. Once they complete the camp, they will be able to continue programming in September at Logiscool as a second-semester student.

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this camp.

We recommend taking this course if your child has never been to any Scoolcode coding course before.

Necessary software

  • For our in-Logiscool camp: We provide all the necessary tools for the camp.
  • In case, the school opens online camps: Kids will need a laptop or a computer at home with a solid internet connection, plus a built-in or external microphone. We recommend having a headset and a web camera too. All the necessary software is provided by us. Our school leaders will contact you prior to the camp with information on how to install the software.

Prices and discounts

PRICE:

  • Price of a half-day camp: USD 299

DISCOUNTS:

  • Early bird discount: 20% if you apply before 1st of July at the latest

  • Sibling discount: 10% if two siblings apply together

  • Multi-week discount: 10% from the second week

  • Maximum aggregate discount: 40%

PAYMENT: The application will be valid upon payment of USD 299 advance payment. After receiving the application, we will send an email to the email address provided during registration, with the information required to pay the camp fee. When making a transfer, please enter the name of the child, the abbreviated name of the camp and the start date in the notice box so that your transfer can be identified. Upon receipt of the amount, Logiscool Las Vegas SW will issue an electronic invoice. Only children whose participation fee is paid no later than the DEADLINE indicated on the invoice can participate in the camp.

If we are unable to hold the selected camp, we will provide you with the opportunity to choose another date or camp type, or to reclaim the fee you have paid.

Technical details

Camps are held between July 5 - August 9.

We are accepting kids aged 8 to 13 in our 5 day camps!

Hours of Camps: Our camps run from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.

Camps start at 9:00am or 1:00pm, please arrive 15 minutes early.

Departure: 12:00pm or 4:00pm, depending on camp selected.

Camp types

Half-day camp: At our half-day camp, students attend a professional program at Logiscool, which can be morning (9:00am to 12:00pm) or in the afternoon (1:00pm to 4:00pm). The exact schedule can be found in the description of the selected camps.

Free parking is available in front of the school.

Due to COVID-19, we pay special attention to compliance with hygiene rules:

  • We disinfect the equipment during group changes and we also regularly use ultraviolet lighting the classrooms and common room.

  • Our school offers small group education, so a maximum of 12 students and one teacher will be in the room at a same time.

We reserve the right to make changes to the advertised camps!
