We as parents know that digital literacy has become an essential tool for navigating the present and the future. In our special courses, our dedicated trainers will help your kids become self-confident and conscious users of digital tools and online platforms including the basics of programming. All this, in a playful, fun, and easily understandable way.

Improve your kids’ digital skills!

Like most kids, your child will also grow up with a smart phone or tablet in hand, either in the home environment or outside of it. Equip your kids with the tools and critical thinking skills that can help them navigate an increasingly digitized future. This course will cover the basics of algorithmic thinking and programming, digital content creation, as well as internet use and safety. It will also introduce kids to computer hardware, digital devices, and robotics. With us, your kids can enjoy the path to digital literacy, learning essential skills in a playful manner!

Highlights

The course will center around the following themes:

Algorithmic thinking

Programming: from block-based coding and calculation through easy-to-understand visual platforms, all the way to text-based coding

Digital content creation: 3D game design, digital drawing, image and video editing, text and presentation editing

Internet use and safety: online security, netiquette and online communication

The basic use of computer hardware and digital devices

Robotics

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this course.

Necessary software

  • For our in-Logiscool course: A Google account is necessary for participation. We provide all the necessary tools for the course.
  • In case, the school opens online courses: To participate in the online course, each student will need a laptop or a computer at home with a solid internet connection, a built-in or external microphone, a Google account and a mouse. We recommend having a headset and a web camera as well. The software needed for online communication is provided by us.

Enrollment

We warmly welcome all our new students to our new courses in February! If you have not visited us yet we look forward to meeting you at our Free Open Days. As a parent, you will receive information about our methodology and the way we teach, while your child can create their first computer game and take the experience home. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

  • Digital Intro, For 1st Graders. Digital Discovery 111. For 2nd - 3rd Graders

  • Blox 161. For 4th - 5th Graders

  • Blox 171. For 6th Graders - Gymnasium

Prices, discounts and payment

Course Fee:

  • The monthly fee for the course will be paid at the beginning of each month, the fee of which is 80 EURO.

  • The fee for the full semester is paid at the beginning of each semester, the amount of which is 360 EURO. Our first semester begins in September until January. The second semester from February until May.

  • We offer 5% discount if the full year course fee is paid in two installments.

Discounts:

  • Early Bird Discount: 5%

  • Sibling Discount: 5%

The maximum discount that can be combined is 10%.

Payment:

In all cases we issue an e-invoice for the fee issued in the name of the student. We kindly ask you to settle the payment by the first Logiscool class of the given month by Bank Transfer or by Credit Card at our school.

Dates and application

Our courses start the week of September 19th, 2022 and last until June 2023.

Both semesters include 17 Logiscool sessions. Our classes are once a week and last 90 minutes. We start our groups on weekdays from 14:30 - 20:00 and on Saturdays from 9:30 - 13:00.

In the event of a missed lesson, we offer a free replacement option, which is offered up to three times per semester.

In addition to specifying the preferred time on the registration, it is also possible to select alternative days and times. If none of the available dates are suitable, please contact the head of school or select (any) date and provide us with additional information in the COMMENT field so that we can find a solution. The COMMENT field is located at the end of the registration form. We send an email to all parents a week before courses start, which contains all important information about the start of the course.

With MyLogiscool, our world-class edutaining community portal, students can find inspiration in their peers' projects.
